On Tuesday, December 2 Wicomico Recreation, Parks and Tourism will
celebrate and thank members of the community who are working to make
a positive difference in Wicomico County by volunteering their
valuable time to Recreation, Parks and Tourism events. If you would
like to nominate someone to receive an award at the 2008 Volunteer
Appreciation Banquet & Sportsmanship Award Ceremony please
download an application. Completed applications can be emailed
to
kobrien@wicomicocounty.org or mailed/dropped off to Wicomico
Recreation, Parks and Tourism 500 Glen Avenue Salisbury, MD 21804.
Tee up for a good cause at the Friends of Recreation and Parks
Annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, October 29. All participants
will receive 18 holes of golf at Nutters Crossing Golf Club, golf
cart use, beverages and a goodie bag. Following play, lunch will be
provided by the Salisbury Moose Lodge #654. Costumes are encouraged
in celebration of Halloween. Prizes will be awarded to the foursome
with the best costume. Register your 4-person team for $300 by
Tuesday, October 14. Hole sponsorships are also available.
